As Europe’s leading producer of innovative wood veneer, Decospan has long been at the forefront of material innovation. But with a bold new vision, they asked us to help them evolve beyond being simply a sales-driven organization. This ambition took shape in The Veneer (an inspirational magazine) and in the need for a new kind of workspace experience center.

To bring the spirit of The Veneer to life, Decospan envisioned a multifunctional hub that could serve as a workplace, meeting zone, and event center—housed within a former two-floor, 1,200 m² production hall. Our challenge was to transform this empty industrial shell into a dynamic environment that could communicate the richness of veneer.

The resulting concept, the Veneer House, merges nature with high-tech innovation. Natural elements like real moss, organic flooring shapes, and an abundance of veneer are thoughtfully woven throughout. On the top floor, visitors encounter an interactive experience where veneer samples mounted on poles rotate to face them and follow their movement using an advanced camera tracking system. With this design, we emphasized Decospan’s deep respect for nature and its zero-waste production methodology.
