Private Clinic

- Reimagining the aesthetic experience

Designed as a retreat

Year:
2026
Client:
Private

Context

Conceived as an intimate retreat rather than a conventional medical environment, this private, high-end aesthetic clinic in the Middle East reimagines the traditional clinic experience.

Guided by the client’s vision, the project combines contemporary design with subtle Middle Eastern influences to create a setting that is both luxurious and calming. WeWantMore developed the architecture and interiors over a three-year design and construction period.

Big Idea

The guiding idea was to create a clinical environment that feels closer to a spa than a medical facility. Architecture, interiors, and landscape were conceived as a continuous experience, where nature, light, and water play a vital role in shaping calm and comfort. While meeting all functional and clinical requirements, the design prioritises privacy and serenity. The project’s particular location demanded careful coordination between consultants, craftspeople, and suppliers.

Spatial Planning & Architecture

The client’s vision for a calm, retreat-like environment shaped the design of the entire clinic. WeWantMore developed the architecture and interiors, including treatment rooms, service facilities, and changing facilities. Soft curves, wood elements, and crafted details introduce warmth throughout the space.

Large panoramic and curved glass windows frame the manicured lawns and mature trees outside. These openings capture dramatic sunsets and animate the interiors with shifting light throughout the day. An outdoor reflecting pond mirrors the surrounding landscape and architecture, enhancing the sense of tranquility.

Materiality, Craft & Atmosphere

A layered material palette balances rough and soft textures, combining natural stone and regionally sourced marble with rugs, curtains, and warm wood finishes. Artworks by local artists feature green tonal palettes complementing the natural textures of the interior rugs. A central water feature positioned beneath a skylight draws soft daylight deep into the building, enhancing the calming sound and reflections of flowing water. Design layering through views, reflections, planting, and water blurs the boundary between inside and outside.

Details, Light & Outcome

Custom-designed wooden screens, crafted locally and detailed with brass, are used throughout the clinic to filter light and provide privacy. In treatment rooms they function as movable panels, while along the main corridor they are integrated as wall-mounted screens, simplified and paired with glass inlays creating the reflections from the sunlight throughout the day.

Outdoors, young climbing plants extend from the roof, gradually spreading across the building as they mature. The same wooden screens indoors act as trellises on the outside of the building, allowing the planting to soften the architecture as it grows over time.

Lighting was carefully layered to balance natural daylight with a soft, atmospheric interior glow. A backlit onyx wall in the parking area introduces a controlled moment of luxury on arrival. The final result is a serene, refined space where nature, light, and water redefine expectations of a traditional aesthetic clinic.
