Cân Tho

- Hanoi street food vibes, brought indoors

Inspired by the vibrant street food culture of Vietnam, we set out to match the high-energy dining experience of wandering through the streets of Hanoi. Cân Tho is where meals are fresh, fast, and full of flavor, with just the right hint of Western familiarity.

The challenge was to translate that chaotic, open-air experience into an indoor setting without losing its authenticity. Drawing from the visual language of Hanoi’s street life, we designed a space that feels like a slice of Vietnam dropped into the city. Terracotta-toned walls, colorful low stools, and a misty mural inspired by Ha Long Bay all work together to evoke the atmosphere of an outdoor street corner.

Functionality played a key role in shaping the layout. The fast-paced rhythm of Vietnamese street dining demanded efficiency: quick ordering, agile movement, and the flexibility of eating in or taking away. These needs defined the spatial flow—starting with an open kitchen, followed by self-service kiosks and a dedicated pick-up zone, leading into a relaxed, food-court-style seating area at the back.
