Humanizing risk management

Orbis Risk Partners is a specialty risk and insurance advisory company with offices in Antwerp, Dubai and Geneva. Maritime risk management, legal counseling, insurances, … Orbis’ habitat doesn’t just sound like serious business, it is. The maritime industry keeps the world turning. It’s a complex and competitive environment. Orbis Risk Partners however, offers a fresh view on how risks can be managed effectively. A more human one centered around people, flexibility and transparency. The only issue? Their rather corporate and distant visual identity didn’t reflect it.

To shape the brand and its fresh take on maritime risk management, we tapped into the founders’ unlimited drive to keep the gears of today’s fast-moving world turning as smoothly as possible. They’re agile, alert and genuinely excited by the maritime world of transport and logistics. Orbis Risk Partners’ new visual language expresses just that. It’s based on the same dynamism and energetic motion that defines the environment they operate in. Although it might come off as slow and monotonous, the maritime industry is actually an exciting, high tech world turning 24/7 around the globe.

On our radar

With Orbis Risk Partners' agile and up to speed nature in mind, we created a brand icon based on a typical maritime element: the radar. They’re always on the lookout. Around the clock. Around the world. In the brand’s off- and online applications, the icon is used as graphical asset. 

To emphasize Orbis Risk Partners' human, friendly and accessible personality, we traded in the uppercase for a lowercase wordmark in a sans-serif typeface. A bolder, industrial typeface resurfaces in headlines and other short copy forms. It’s inspired by stencil letters on sea containers. 

Colours

The ocean plays a vital role in Orbis’ field of play. It’s the main inspiration for the brand’s colour palette varying from blue to green. The gradient adds a sense of excitement and energy to it, while a hint of red acts as a warmer accent colour. It’s a hue frequently used on containers and ships.

Photography

The photography focusses on the three core elements that make up Orbis Risk Partners' business. The ocean, the cargo and the people. It adds life, authenticity and a human feel to the visual identity.
