Reality is Loading

Nofuss is a network of 3D wizards creating hyperrealistic, digital imagery. They work closely with designers to visualise everything from novel product designs to architectural restaurant, retail and hotel interiors. To give you an idea: they created the imagery for L’Epouse du Boucher.

For the untrained eye it’s hard to see where their skills come into play, since they mostly work with other people’s designs. So, it was key to articulate nofuss’ digital expertise and field of play in their brand identity. Adding to challenge: their preference for a clean and minimalistic aesthetic.

With nofuss’ digital nature in mind, we created a logo based on a clear-cut wordmark. The shifting squares in the ‘n’ and ‘f’ character hint at the shape of a pixel.

We found the base of the visual identity in nofuss’ working method. The point in the rendering process when the image is gradually taking shape – a familiar moment for designers – accurately expressed nofuss’ digital mindset. It inspired us to create a minimalistic pattern with a distinct digital undertone. One that resurfaces in the website, animations, business cards and stationery.

Since nofuss is quite skilled on the digital front as well, we even developed a template which allows them to create the visual assets themselves.
